WHEN BANKRUPTCY IS AWESOME! – Chapter 7

February 18, 2018

Clients come in every day who are overwhelmed with debt for reasons which were beyond their control.

Some clients have huge medical bills following an unforeseen illness or injury, and others may have had to live on credit cards to feed their family after they were suddenly laid off.

In life, situations like this come up all too often. Clients who are good, hard-working individuals experience some bad luck which leaves them facing serious financial hardship!

This is when a Chapter 7 bankruptcy can be AWESOME!

A Chapter 7 bankruptcy enables such clients to simply wipe out (i.e. “discharge”) the debts (credit cards, medical bills, personal loans, etc.) that are holding them down…and usually in as little as 3 months!

Then, when their debts are wiped out through their Chapter 7, clients can immediately begin to rebuild their credit score (using BEACON LAW, P.A.’s post-bankruptcy credit score program) and can have their credit score above a 700 in as little as 6-12 months!

These same clients, had they not filed bankruptcy, would have been attempting to pay off the unforeseen medical bills or credit card debt by making usually minimal payments for anywhere from 5-30 years! This whole time their credit scores would remain low and they would be paying excessive interest on the debt!

So, in reality, filing for bankruptcy often times enables clients to rebuild their credit faster than if they had never filed at all!

At BEACON LAW, P.A. we help our clients stop foreclosure, stop wage garnishment, stop vehicle repossession, stop lawsuits and stop creditor harassment through debt negotiation and/or assisting them in filing for Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 bankruptcy.
